Wilco Financial Group
J.L. Wilson is the June 2008 ABL Member of the Month because of his commitment to the mission and programs of the Atlanta Business League. J.L. serves on the Public Policy Committee which works to monitor and coordinate legislative and governmental affairs of concern to the constituent body of the organization and to create and maintain a legislative and governmental awareness of ABL, its programs and activities.
The Public Policy Committee was responsible for planning and implementing the first League’s Congress held on Thursday, December 6, 2007, at the Morehouse Leadership Institute. The Congress was designed to revitalize and re-institute the Operation Turnover initiative which encourages African-American business owners, professionals and consumers at large to do more business in their own community.
J.L. actively involves himself in the League's program initiatives understanding that knowledge breeds power and access to opportunities. He sees the value of ABL offerings and is typically one of the first to take advantage of it.
Webster describes entrepreneur as one who organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise. J.L. is a true entrepreneur. We salute J.L. Wilson for his commitment to his craft, his dedication to making the lives of his clients simpler, but effective, and his involvement with the League.
